What is intentional living?

Our blog is about intentional living and how we are learning to live more intentionally in every aspect of our lives.

Instead of coasting through our days without any conscious thought about how we live our lives and the impact this has on not only ourselves but others and the environment; we are making choices that add value to our lives.

It is easy to lead a passive life in this fast-paced world; doing what we think we should do, buying what we think we need, achieving what we think we should, but this can lead to discontent and unhappiness.

By making deliberate choices about how we spend our time and money, making changes to our daily habits and thinking patterns we now live more meaningful lives.

Why live intentionally?

By making these choices, life is simpler, we have more time, more money, we are healthier and our actions align with our values and beliefs so we feel more connected with ourselves, friends, family and community.

Some of the things we now do

  • We have both made a decision to have a day off work to do the things we love; going for lunch, taking day trips and sharing ideas about how to live more intentionally. We were able to do this as we chose not to spend our money on excess stuff.
  • Make our own natural chemical free cosmetics to look after our bodies and the environment
  • Invest in ourselves not stuff by doing yoga and having regular massages
  • Set intentions each day to be more connected to not only those around us but also our actions and the impacts they have.

We want to share some of our experiences of living intentionally and hope to inspire you to make some changes that can add value to your life.
